Zygmunt Lozinski President

Zygmunt Lozinski is an IBM Senior Technical Staff Member and a Solution Executive in IBM's Telecommunications Industry Unit. He is one of the leaders of IBM's Network Transformation initiative, which defines and delivers IBM solutions for telecom operators as they move to next-generation networks. Mr. Lozinski is part of the IBM team that developed and launched the IBM Websphere Application Server for Telecom: the industry's first application server to support the Parlay/OSA standard for open network APIs. He was involved in the design and development of IBM's ISDN and SS7 solutions, and then in the deployment of AIN in North America. Mr. Lozinski received his BSc(Eng) in Computing Science from the Imperial College of Science and Technology in London in 1984. He is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He holds, or has pending, twenty-one patents in software technology and telecommunications and is a frequent author and speaker on telecommunications.

Paul Crane is senior member of BT's Group CTO. He is responsible for the Intelligence and Application architecture, know as the Service Execution Framework. Essentially, this is the definition of an IMS for BT's fixed network & an SOA application environment for building future services.

His current work includes the onward development & implementation of this architecture.

Paul has 17 years experience in the telecommunications industry. During this time Paul has worked in a variety of roles ranging from OSS development, IP service design and technology strategy. Paul holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree in electrical engineering and an M.Sc in information technology.

David Gorton is Executive Director of IMS Service Delivery Solutions Architecture at Telcordia Technologies. He has over 25 years of experience in telecommunications software systems and services. Mr. Gorton joined Telcordia in 1984 from Bell Laboratories. In his present role, he is responsible for future service architectures and capabilities for Telcordia's customers. Mr. Gorton is also a member of the Board of Directors of Parlay Group. In previous assignments with Telcordia, he was responsible for solution architecture and software development for Service Management Systems, Service Control Points, Application Servers, IP Application Servers and Gateways for value-added services for broadband, fixed and mobile networks. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Anders Lundqvist is a Technical Director at the BEA Systems Telecom division, where he is responsible for BEA's next generation network solutions. He was the CTO and one of the founders of Incomit, the leading company in policy based Telecom Web Services, joining BEA Systems based on their acquisition of Incomit. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Parlay Group. He is interested in the use of advanced Java and J2EE software solutions to bring advanced services to the next generation mobile and fixed telecommunications networks. Anders received his M.Sc (Eng) in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from LiTH, Linköping in 1991.

Jeff Popoff Director

Jeff Popoff has been involved in the wireless and telecommunications industry since 1986, including supporting the first AMPS, TDMA and CDMA networks in North America and postings in both Europe and Asia Pacific launching GSM services. Mr. Popoff ran a wireless incubator in the Texas "Telecom Corridor" and led a Mergers and Acquisitions division in Silicon Valley. He joined Redknee in 2001 and is a key advocate for next generation wireless services as VP of Market Development.

Mr. Popoff is on the Board of Directors of Parlay Group and represents Redknee at Open Mobile Alliance, Wireless Communications Alliance, International Business Development Network, and the Institute of Electronics Engineers. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has been guest speaker at Stanford, Harvard, Berkeley, and UCLA. Mr. Popoff is a practicing Professional Engineer (North America); Chartered Engineer (Europe); B.SC Systems Engineering; Executive MBA - Stanford GSB.

John Storrie is a senior architect within the Nortel CTO division and is currently involved in web service and SOA related development to facilitate incorporation of the telecommunications network resources into a wider developer base.

John joined Nortel in 1987 after eight years working in data transmission for the seismic exploration industry and has been involved in many areas of telecommunications development ranging from development of Centrex, ISDN, ISUP software to intelligent network protocols and is now involved in the SOA and web services domain.

Wayne Zeuch is a Distinguished Technical Staff Member in the Chief Technology Office of Alcatel-Lucent’s Convergence Business Group in Holmdel, New Jersey. He worked for Bell Laboratories for 20 years in both the U.S. and international switching systems engineering organizations of AT&T Network Systems and the standards management organizations of both AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Wayne has led and contributed to telecommunications standardization since 1987 with ATIS Standards Committee T1 in the United States (serving most recently as Vice Chairman (2000-2004)) and with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Geneva (serving most recently as Study Group 11/Working Party 1 Vice Chairman (Intelligent Network Applications and Protocols - 1997-2004)). Over the past decade, standards leadership roles have extended his technical and liaison activities to Parlay, OMA, TIA, CITEL (Americas), and ETSI (Europe).
